With its first two products, a beautiful fine fragrance (parfum) and moisturizing whipped body lotion to partner, scheduled to launch on November 10th, 2004 at 1223, they are well on their way. It teases the senses with touches of Tangerine, Jasmine, Gardenia and Mandarin Blossom. The Body Lotion captures the identical sweet scent and embraces the skin with moisturizing Shea Butter and soothing Aloe. Their products are created to allure attention and demand respect. When a BeHold Me woman walks into a room, all eyes are on her, the room is smothered in silence and for just a brief moment not a breath is taken for it is absorbed by her presence. The desire to inspire women to look, feel and smell beautiful has always been an aspiration of Utokia. As an entrepreneur, writer, and poet, but most importantly as a woman, Utokia clearly understands what it means to yearn to look, feel and smell beautiful. She values the importance of the beauty in women. As a writer and poet, Utokia has written many poems to inspire the spirit of women. She has written several poems dedicated to uplifting women. One of which, “I am Woman” sets such tones with statements reminiscent of self-indulgence and self-confidence in a woman, by a woman. A taste of “I am Woman” reads, “I’m the mother of earth and the barer of birth, I am the strength in your hands and the concrete on distant lands, I am a portrait of intellect and the Nile of respect, I know I sometimes drive you insane, but I am woman, I also ease your pains.” In 2002, Utokia realized she not only wanted to write about the beauty in women but offer products that would enhance their exquisiteness on the outside which in turn would contribute to their happiness on the inside. When women look and smell good, they feel good about themselves. Hence, Utokia began diligently researching the cosmetics industry. In 2003, after meeting the love of her life, she married and teamed up with her husband, Trent, to create BeHold Me LLC (www.beholdme.com). Trent inspired Utokia to make her dreams a reality. He believed in her and her desire to uplift women. The team was an absolute perfect entrepreneurial fit. With her creative dreams to inspire and uplift women, Utokia makes the perfect President and Co-Founder. While Trent, having a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics with a minor in Economics and faith in his wife, fits wonderfully in his roles as Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder. Together they make magic; magic that is put into the BeHold Me product.
