I've been drinking more water and try to drink a glass of water before meals...helps you trick your body into feeling "full".

I hope to lose 20 more lbs of this baby fat...

Blessings,

Bibi

It's been a while since I have posted. There have been ups and downs, but mainly ups because I have trimmed off 20 pounds in the last few months. My diet is based off the South Beach Diet, but it's mainly low fat/low carb/low sugar diet. it's not perfect but I stay on course every week. I work out 3 days a week; 2 in the gym and one at home with a exercise videos. Plus i walk.

My diet is so much more fun now that it's a lifestyle change. i love certain things that i don't have but i do eat fat free chips when i crave; or a small amoutn of one serviing of cookies when i crave, but mostly my diet consists of fish, seafood, chicken breasts, and lots of veggies. i don't eat a lot of fruit. my sugar cravings are satisfied by jello (low fat/sugar free) and applesauce.

I started off eating late in the night, but right now i don't eat after 7 pm. i drink loads of water and when i work out it's for 1 to 2 hours. I also run on the treadmill which is helping me.

That's about it. I hope all are well.

Blessings,
Pam

I'm going to start yoga and a restricted carb diet next week. I have such a craving for sweets since I had the baby in January...trying not to give in to each temptation.

Best of luck to everyone on their weight loss goals. You ladies are gonna be "All the way live in 2005!!"

Blessings,
Bibi

I am dong the SBD (South Beach Diet) and it sucks but i think it is working.

I think eventually I will do Weight Watchers. I just wanted to try SBD and see what it was all about.

So far, it cuts out all the sweets and salty and processed foods. I feel much better.

Plus with me working out 3/x a week I am shaping up very well.

Hope all are doing well.

So Far...good. I am officially a few pounds lighter according to the scale at home and work I am between 250 and 252 which puts me 4 to 7 pounds lighter. It's an battle but I'm doing good with my veggies and fruits daily. I think i slipped and had a few chocolate cookies last weekend but since then I am back on my track so hey I am not perfect but trying to do this moment by moment!

Also incorporating a few work outs during the week will help. I just picked up Taebo Cardio Circuit and will start using that later this week and also start my African Dance Class on Saturday.

Hope all is well,
Pam

Thanks sistah.

I'm doing okay today. No junk food (2nd week of no junk food). Struggling at times but so far, I"m good. I have been tryng to drink a lot of water and my juices (trying to do unsweetened more than those "cocktails" which contain more sugars in them> I have been drinking tons of green tea (no sugars added).

I realized recently that I'm doing 5 fruits/veggies a day without thinking. So proud of myself for that. God is working on me. You can read my diet blog at http://www.mochachyna004.blogcafe.com

I have to squeeze in a work out tonight at the club and that's about it.

So far, very good! All, good luck on your weight changes!! I will let u know once I do weight watchers and how it is going.

below is information from all on how to incorporate more fruits in your diet.

Eating 5 A Day is Easy
Eating 5 to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables is easy, especially if you have a plan. The following guidelines can help you develop your plan for fitting in 5 A Day everyday.

At every meal and snack eat at least one serving of a fruit or vegetable.

Start your morning off with a glass of 100% fruit juice. Just ¾ cup or 6 fluid ounces counts as one serving.
For a morning snack, eat a piece of fresh fruit, such as a banana, apple, orange or pear. A medium piece of fruit counts as one serving.
Eat a large salad with your lunch. A large salad with 3 cups of mixed greens counts as three servings.
For an afternoon snack, munch on raw vegetables like celery sticks or baby carrots. A handful of celery sticks or baby carrots counts as one serving.
For dinner eat a dark green leafy vegetable, such as broccoli or spinach. Just ½ cup of any cooked vegetable counts as one serving.
For an evening snack, choose dried fruit like raisins or dried plums. Just ¼ cup of dried fruit counts as one serving.

Every day eat at least one vitamin A rich fruit or vegetable, such as cantaloupe, carrots, sweet potato, spinach or broccoli.

Every day eat at least one vitamin C rich fruit or vegetable, such as orange juice, grapefruit, fresh pineapple, green pepper or cauliflower.

Every day eat at least one high fiber fruit or vegetable, such as apples, grapefruit, or broccoli.

Several times each week eat cruciferous (a.k.a. cabbage family) vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts or cabbage.

Hi Pam,

Thank you so much. I am totally enjoying my Weight Watchers experience this time around. I was a member 10 years ago and though I did okay on the program, but I feel more committed to this new program and I really like the two plans that are available to choose from.

I am not one who like grocery shopping, but for the first time in my life, I am learning to read those labels and plan great meals. Because I eat out regularly, at least 2 to 3 times a week, the Weight Watcher Dining Out Guide is a major plus that I carry around with me all the time. I can truly say that losing weight has never been this appealing or exciting to me before. So, I think you will enjoy the benefits of their proram when you join.

Take care and blessing to you in this endeavor and in all things,
Marlive

Will do my sister! You have fun on that cruise. I'm going to the Bahamas in the spring (April 2005!).

Here is a link to a very good article which talks about fat burning things to eat/drink for your body like Grapefruits, green tea, etcetera.

Blessings to all,

Praises to All -
My biggest challenges are on my butt and thighs. Stomach is naturally flat. But I need to firm those areas. I had joined Curves last year, and I really enjoyed it but since then I've enrolled in school, and so even that 1/2 hour work out became harder to fit in. But the school has a gym that is part of the tuition for grad students. So I'm going to be getting my work out there. I also figured back in the day, I was a roller skating champ, so I went and got some roller blades, and will be doing that for the leg and thigh muscles. We registered for the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage, so it is ooonnnn! Wedding & Cruise - I have GOT to do this. Pray for me as I will be praying for all of you.

Leann
