I would like to nominate my sister, Phyllis as the Hiyaah Power Mama. She is a single mother and grandmother of one daughter, son in love and grandson. She has taught me everything about being a mother through unconditional and tough love. She has overcome a car accident and missed diagnosis of overactive thyroid, even unto near death, but still she seeks the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord to be in His will and to share the Gospel with others. She went back to college and graduated!@#!@Laude with her B.S. degree in Business Administration, 2004 and an A.S.B., Specialized Business in 1982. I thank Jesus for the light she so shine for others to see Him in her and in all that she do.
My mother is definitey a hiyaah powered mama. She has endured many trials and tribulations but remained steadfast in her faith. She is the backbone in our family, a very strong powerful Queen. She takes on burdens of everyone else, putting herself on the back burner. With a tumor on her side as big as a watermelon, swollen legs that need knee surgery, chronic asthmatic, along with other serious health issues, she still manages to pull through and help others. I thank God for my mother and pray that she gets the blessings that she deserves.
I think my mom is a Hiyaah Power mother because she is a hard worker. When I was born I was a premature baby weighing less thatn a pound (to make a long testamony short)the doctors gave my mom and I a 40% survival rate. My mom is very special to me because she is strong, even though she is a single parent, she does things that are WOW! My mom is a wonderful mpm becaue she is very understnading, kind, smart, beautiful, and she is an anointed Woman of God!
God Bless!

Blessings in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The Hiyaah Powered-Mama I have so easily selected is my daughter Eboni. Eboni is a woman who has maintained and continuously puts GOD and her children first. For my grandson's 13th birthday she gave him a celebration in church! In spite of it all, Eboni never gives up, cave in nor quit. Her motto is 'She can do ALL things through Christ Jesus who strengthens her.' As a mother she has never come short of her children, even when she made something out of nothing. Most importantly she never came short of GOD. I present to you my daughter, Eboni!
My mother is a Hiyaah Powered Mama. She is a mother of four awesome kids...myself included. My mother nurtured creative spirits in all of us while maintaining her individuality as a woman, wife and mother. She taught us girls what it means to be a diva in her own right.
It brings me great pleasure to share with you a Gift that God so graciously has given to me my "MOMMIE". She is a gift to all who know her. Mommie taught her children how to love, give, share and enjoy life. She is smart, creative, foxy (at 70 years of age) and has kept her husband happy and grinning for 46 years. I would love for Mommie to win but if not, thanks for this opportunity to share her with you. Happy Mother's Day Mommie... I Love You
Hi everyone:
My name is Cheryl and first I want to say an early Happy Mom's Day to all of us out here who have endured during what I believe has been THE MOST challenging but also the most rewarding calling on my life, motherhood! The woman I want to nominate is my best friend Sheila Peterkin. When I first met this powerful woman of God I was running from An abusive marriage and she was my case worker at the Department of Social Services. From the minute I met her I knew she was extra special. She was my example of the Virtuous woman. She led me to Christ. From making hot lunches and delivering them to her children at school, to having her husbands favorite meals prepared,to reading the "book of Morals at bed time, she has taught me Gods way of mothering!

Yes my mother is a Hiyaah Powered Mama. She is a housewife and she's endured some trials and tribulations. She spoils my sister, my son, and myself so of course her money goes to us and she goes without. I recently had a baby and my mom is now mom to him while I finish school. She cares for him almost 24 hours a day. She has put her whole life aside for us and now she's doing the same for my son.
